ABOUT US
A legacy of hospitality, a mission of
transmission.
We are Joseph and Patricia Lustigman.
For more than thirty years, long before Jewish tourism became an industry, we have welcomed families, rabbis, and descendants of survivors of Shoah who came to Lisbon seeking memory,
understanding, and truth.
Our commitment is built on rigorous historical transmission and deep respect for religious values.
Today, we focus exclusively
on guided visits, continuing 30 years of Jewish hospitality and memory in Lisbon.
More than a tour: a journey of memory and historical truth.
For many years, our own home was an integral part of this journey, where we organized Shabbat meals and shared life moments that
were often more meaningful than the monuments themselves.
Today, our activity has evolved.
While we no longer offer accommodation or meals, our mission remains unchanged: to honor Jewish memory with absolute
dedication.
Patricia is widely recognized for her specialized expertise in Portuguese Jewish history throughout the centuries:
from the ancient presence (Since King Salomon...) to forced conversions, the Inquisition, and the destinies of New Christians
and crypto-Jews and histories of refugies during 1930's - 1940's
Our tours are not general sightseeing circuits.
They are documented immersions and in-depth genealogical explorations for those who wish to understand the complex heritage of the
Jewish diaspora in Portugal.
We offer you a serene, precise experience filled with profound meaning.
This is not a tourism activity. It is a Jewish memory home in Lisbon, welcoming visitors for over 40 years.
